- They are innovative, and are doing it well. Long gone are the days of bad Skype connections and blurred faces.
- Not at a desk? Phew! No problem - their focus on mobile sets them apart and makes it easy and convenient.
- Their customer service is paramount when you are a small company or initially taking on such a long endeavor.
- HireVue is such a great product, however its integration with Greenhouse ATS leaves something to be desired and there are a lot of manual workouts for something that could be seamless. One repeated request is that a hiring manager should be able to view the employee's resume in both systems. But to make that happen - HR needs to download it from the ATS and upload it to HireVue.
- The systems themselves don't integrate that well. We love reschedule - but it doesn't work directly with HireVue - but it does work great with the ATS.
- MORE FREEDOM! Their coaching is great - but once in a while we want to create and be able to change what is in an automatic email. Maybe it is a one time manage, or a way for us to experiment with targeted messaging to stay inline with out recruitment campaigns. They are on the way though as we can now personalize reminders and invitations.

- Simulates an interview before the actual interview - candidates see a video from our President and testimonials from staff about our organization and then see someone asking them a question to which they then reply; they also have ability to re-record their answers, which you can't do in a live interview!
- Provides greater insights into candidates than a phone interview because allows for capturing behavioral characteristics and assessment of professionalism and articulation that are not as easily captured through a phone interview while saving time from having to jump right to in-person interview, which is difficult to do when there are so many vacancies and candidates across a wide regional area.
- Integration with ATS (we have Cornerstone) for allowing managers to access the candidate's resume (and application!) right from the video interview through HireVue. Would help to further streamline hiring process for managers and recruiters.
- Leverage client info by offering clients who are willing to share their videos and questions the ability to access other clients videos and questions who have also signed up for sharing with links right from within system for browsing rather than having to log into customer success centers; by building this library and body of knowledge allows for sharing of ideas and best practices in a way that is accessible when you need it, where you need it, can foster greater use of the system for all
- Allow for using multiple videos in a segment that just transition from one to another so clients that don't have video editing expertise don't have to find someone to join separate videos together into and compress them to fit file size limits

Make more money faster using HireVue
This product also helps us with hiring marketers and other sales positions that will be remote for our clients. It's a large amount of money to bring someone from California to Florida, so when our clients can see a full candidate profile, it is easier for them to justify flying that individual in to their organization.
- They have a phenomenal customer support team. They answer the phone 24/7 and help my candidates with any technical difficulties. They are so nice to my candidates and make them feel like part of the team.
- The video is very user friendly. In this market we have a variety of ages for candidates who take the video interview. Old or young, our candidates find this to be a very user friendly program.
- The video quality is amazing. When you receive a completed video interview it is not "grainy." It comes over crystal clear and it all around is professional looking.
- I would like to be able to add more than one person to a video at once. Yes it's easy now, I just think it would be easier to blast through all of the info then hit "save."
- Not sure why it says "save" instead of "send" when sending out a video interview.
- I'm really trying to find weaknesses and that is why tried to be picky... If I had one more weakness I'd say I want a way to delete old users from showing up. Archiving is not good enough. There should be a delete button.

HireVue should eliminate the phone screen!
- The OnDemand interview function of HireVue is an excellent resource for recruiters in place of the phone screen. It is also used by hiring managers in pre-screening applicants who will engage with our customers.
- The training for HireVue for hiring managers could be better. We also have issues using HireVue with Internet Explorer. It would be better to know what browsers/versions are required for hiring managers and candidates.
- I'm not sure if there is a handbook or document that I can provide to first time users (i.e. how to get started or trouble-shooting). That would be really helpful.
HireVue - Simple and Easy to Use!
- Good way to quickly screen and assess candidates when utilizing one way videos.
- I also like the two way video feature for more in-depth videos.
- I have used the two way video feature and recorded the interview so other parties could view them later to aid in the decision making process.
- I don't think this is a HireVue issue per se but a lot of our managers are on the road constantly and you need quite a strong WiFi signal for the video feature to work properly.
- We need to be able to articulate the clear advantages of using something like HireVue over FaceTime or Skype which a lot of our clients are used to using and see and easy and free.

HireVue is used by human resources, both on the graduate/apprentice side as well as the experienced hire side.
I personally use it for graduate/apprentice recruitment, in replacement of telephone interviews. It helps us deal with volumes of candidates, share candidates and get others' opinions and easily rank the top scorers.
- Creates an average score across the interview.
- Different types of question responses (written, video, multiple choice, etc).
- Being able to review lots of candidates in one day and the interviews are already recorded.
- Candidates can take the interviews at a time that is most convenient to them.
- Different ways of scoring to be bespoke per organisation (not just 1-5).

- HireVue is very reliable, I rarely have tech issues with the website.
- HireVue's customer service team is great, the few times I or one of my candidates has had an issue, the team is very responsive and works very hard to solve the problem.
- It's extremely innovative - I have had multiple candidates tell me how new and different this type of interview is and how much they enjoy it.
- Using the HireVue software can be an little impersonal to a candidate, only because there is not someone physically interviewing them.
- HireVue could do a better job of preparing the candidate for the interview. The other websites that I have seen are really great, but when I actually took the HireVue I ended up being nervous and somewhat intimidated.
Very useful app in telemedicine!
- It allows us to see how fluently a candidate is able to react and speak to direct prompts; the same way a face-to-face interview would.
- It allows us to test their medical knowledge.
- It allows us to assess their computer/technical knowledge.
- Higher resolution videos, to match the otherwise trendy image of the application; which is visible to external candidates and can shape their view of our company.
- Ability to share video of individual responses. This would be useful when a hiring manager needs an SME (within the organization, but who might not use HireVue) to validate the answer to a specific question for any reason.
- Ability to change how interviews are scored without having to create a new profile.
It is less appropriate for positions where the incumbent would be required to answer to or collaborate with a variety of departments or stakeholders, as they may each have different interview questions or scenarios they want to probe, and a cookie-cutter interview is not sufficient for all to gauge or assess.
HireVue is a platinum vendor
- 24/7 customer support. Our candidates work 24/7 as well so it's great they can call anytime and get support.
- We are a partner with them not just a customer. They listen to our needs/concerns/suggestions.
- They are always improving their product.
- The Coordinate tool still needs to fix some of the kinks.
Not for me, but good for you
- Customer service is outstanding. Available to answer questions and willing to do anything they could to help. Very friendly.
- Great implementation team! Made the start up process go without a hitch.
- Great concept. If you are looking for a way to not have to look through all those tedious resumes HireVue is a great product.
- Ease of use for the applicant. We actually had some people call to say they could not use the product easily as their computers would not allow it.
- Website is a little intimidating. As I mentioned before most stopped applying when they found out they had to do a video interview.

- HireVue does a good job with quality control. If there is an error with a video interview, HireVue usually catches it before I do.

- Saves a lot of time for recruiters--rather than having Skype interviews with 100+ candidates, I can view 30-60 second clips of each candidate to give me a better feeling of who the candidate is.

- The HireVue support team is great and very responsive to feedback and suggestions - many of the changes we have requested have already been updated and implemented. One change I'd like to see is increased integration with other applicant tracking software systems (i.e. where ratings are rolled over into the other system, the other system links to the HireVue invitation as opposed to manually entry).
- Would like to have the option of editing an interview once created without closing and opening a new job.
- Would like to be able to move candidate interviews over to other open positions if they should be considered in another job pipeline.
Hirevue Review
- Your customer service department is fantastic. I am confident in telling candidates to contact you with any questions or issues they have launching the platform, I know that every experience is timely and they can easily get to a human being to speak with during a time that is quite stressful for them.
- It is very user friendly - I am not tech savvy whatsoever and it has been easy to maneuver and schedule interviews in about 30 seconds.
- I receive feedback often that the HireVue link didn't work for candidates/hiring teams. This may be operator error but it seems to be happening quite frequently.
From Zero to Hired!
- The interface for both us and the candidates is very user friendly.
- We are able to upload videos of ourselves asking the questions which makes it a more human experience than just talking to a written question.
- We can have multiple people within our organization view and rate a candidate. HireVue even calculates all the data so we have a big picture of how the candidate rated overall.
- Some candidates have complained about not receiving the interview invitation from HireVue. We've had to resend a number of times, with most claiming that emails from HireVue ended up in their spam folder.

- Great customization options for creating interviews. You can customize each interview to fit your opening and the client's needs.

- Great template of interview questions to choose from or you can make your own.
- Some candidates are intimidated to take it so maybe doing a more engaging introductory/ instructional video would help. The one they currently use is good but it could be updated.
